Tranquility

I like an older building’s charm and character. I could feel it’s telling a story…

A serene corner of the Convent Bukit Nanas

A corridor that misses the thousands of footsteps and cheers of happiness during school days

Old & New

It’s amazing how old and newer buildings co-exist; they are such a contrast yet live together in harmony.

The foreground is the first Convent in Kuala Lumpur, and was referred to as The Top by three nuns from France in the late 19th century. It was officially opened as a school in 1899. It is now called Convent Bukit Nanas. The background is a modern bank building.

The KL Tower is just 15 minutes' walk away.

Close-up of the Convent's facade.

Beautiful patch of floor tiles.

Nostalgia

If you catch someone staring at a wall in the middle of the street, he may not be a nut case but probably only a ‘wall collector’

A temporary wall put up to fence off a construction site in Perth. This beautiful piece is probably not there anymore as the constructions must have been completed by now. This makes it even more ‘collectable’!

The billboard itself may be quite new, but the design, brand name and the fact that it’s being hung on the wall of its old factory in Cameron Highlands gives a sense of nostalgia.

The Moon & Sun

I think two of the most obvious subjects, but probably also the most ignored subjects, are the moon and the sun; they are always around but also the most difficult subjects to photograph. I'm still trying...

The moon, in broad daylight!

The hidden sun.

Sunset in the backyard.

Wall Collections

People collect all sorts of things, from coins and stamps to cars and antiques. I like walls. A wall has purpose, character and dominance. I collect walls, by shooting ‘em.

A bright morning stroll in a park somewhere in Perth.

Spotted this at a backlane in Shanghai.

I was waiting to cross a busy road in Hanoi and pleased to find this.

This must be taken somewhere in dreamland ;)

One word: Discipline.
